Business Support Team Manager (£13,580 - £16,520 p.a. + £2,187 p.a. London Weighting) |
UCL Hospitals NHS Trust | I saw this job in the "Evening Standard" (where I see most job advertisements these days) and the fact that it was at a hospital caught my attention easily enough. After all, why not do something you are good at eh? I phoned for an application form Sunday and it only arrived this morning. There is the Easter Bank Holiday so I have just a little while ago finished filling it out and popping it in an envelope ready to deliver tomorrow morning. After reading the job spec more closely I was excited to find out that I can do absolutely everything they want and I can do it really well too...because it is a composite of all the jobs I have done up until now. If I don't even get an interview there is no justice in the world! The main reason I can think of as to why I might not be successful is if there is an internal applicant. This one is a real hopeful, so watch this space. (Date application sent - 10th April 1998, Closing Date - 14th April 1998) |
Education Statistician (£24,510 - £26,391 p.a.) | London Borough of Havering | I saw this job in the "Evening Standard" and my eye caught the word "Statistician". On closer inspection of the wages I realised that this job was almost certainly beyond my abilities but "What the hell!" I thought and sent off for the application form. I sat and filled it out and made myself sound really important (like I was already some kind of project officer/senior officer). I don't expect to get this job but I thought it would be interesting to see if they are stupid enough to give me an interview! (Date application sent - 9th April 1998, Closing Date - 10th April). Yeah I know... I am cutting it VERY fine with the closing date...but like I said, I don't expect to get this so who cares? |
